Shoe Match Up

J was really itching yesterday to put on his shoes and go outside.  He was carrying around his shoes and trying to get them on while pointing towards the door. 

Unfortunately, it was right before nap time and I knew that he would not be happy having to come in after only playing outside for a few minutes. Sigh…so I made up a game.

Let’s match our shoes!

We took out his basket of  shoes out of the closet and dumped them out and matched the pairs together.

He had to line them up as well.

We did this several times before it was naptime.  It was a fun little game for J.   I find that the best activities are the spur of the moment ones!

And, yes, J happily spent the rest of the day (after his nap) running around outside!
