A Slide and a Sensory Box

I put this together on one of those days where I needed something new for J to do, so I threw anything I could find in a sensory box.  I started to call this sensory box “Everything but the kitchen sink” because there were so many random things inside.  When I spotted the random cardboard tube, I remembered this post from We Can Do All Things.  I taped that bad boy to the side of the box and I knew we were in business!



Let me tell you, this box of stuff kept J engaged for the longest time!  He loved putting things in the tube and watching them come out the other side. 



Here’s J pouring in the cup of buttons and watching them slide across the floor.


See that flash?  It’s a Hot Wheel that’s about to run underneath the oven…oops!  The Hot Wheels were awesome because they came shooting out of the tube and across the room.  This really made J giggle.

J loves sensory boxes, this one especially.  We’ve pulled this out several more times throughout the week.
