Did Thanksgiving creep up on anyone else but me? I can’t believe that it’s this Thursday! I decided that J needed to have a little bit of turkey fun for Thanksgiving and so I made up this fun fine motor craft for him.
It was super simple to make and J has loved playing with it. I simply set out paint, with paint dabbers, along with clothes pins for him to paint. He went right at it and he really enjoyed painting his “feathers”.
While he painted, I made the the rest of the turkey. I used cardboard for the body and cut out a beak, eyes, and the waddle (the red thing on their face…yes I had to Google the name of it).
Once the clothes pins dried, J spent lots of time taking the feathers on and off the turkey.
It’s not only a fun holiday craft, it’s a fun toy for J to practice his fine motor skills with.
During this activity we talked about all the colors of the turkey and the sounds that a turkey makes. It was a fun way to introduce Thanksgiving to J.
