Last week I did a post about all the different ways that J plays with balloons. Today, I’ll show you how Baby E plays with them. Let me tell you, he loves them almost as much as his brother does.
Balloons really are great for little babies. By simply laying a baby down with a balloon, the babe gets to practice his eye tracking, and cause and effect. He can watch the balloon float around the room and see how one touch can send it bouncing away.
Baby E is scooting around on his belly, so he’s able to chase a balloon around the room. One little balloon can keep this baby interested and engaged for the longest time.
He also really loves watching his older brother play with balloons. You should hear him giggle while watching a balloon fly across the room.
For another simple baby balloon play idea, loosely tie a helium balloon around their ankle. I did this when Baby E was only 4 months old. He made it bounce in the air every time he kicked his little legs and he watched it for the longest time! So simple, and so great and engaging for little ones!
Popped and deflated balloons are choking hazards, so be careful and supervise your baby while playing with them.
